Live at Santa Monica Power Yoga: back in my home studio for the first time in over a year! Join the breath and flow of powerful yogis while finding your personal expression of every pose...organic to your present moment. We blend the traditional (Surya A) with the playful (mandala-style Surya B). We tap into the fire of the core. We fly high with arm balances and Warrior 3. We twist it up in Uttkatasana, Anjaneyasana, Garudasana, and Gomukhasana. After plenty of heat building, we melt our way into long, juicy holds of Baddha Konasana, Janu Sirsasana, and Paschimottanasana. We offer advanced options to play with in backbends (*Note: Virasana is mentioned. Virasana is when you bend your leg back, knee in flexion, foot alongside the hip. Please be careful with the knee if you choose to play with this variation.). Heart-opening is followed by hip/hamstrings/spine-openings and a few minutes of open practice - a chance to let your creativity flow. And of course - a 5-minute sweet Savasana where you let it all go...
